The World Expeditions Foundation was appointed to fund the plastering of walls, flooring, installation of windows and doors, purchase or construction of desks, purchase of teachers aid and books and the construction of a toilet block.

Located near the Tarangire National Park is the Masai village of Kakoi, home to approximately 2500 people. The primary school has 400 students attending for 7 years and 8 teachers. The school consists of 7 classrooms, with each room requiring plastering, flooring, windows, doors, desks as well as teaching aids and books and the school requires a toilet block.

The completion of this project will means that the studying and teaching environment at the school will be improved dramatically. The classrooms will be cleaner, brighter, protected from the elements and overall the environment will much more conducive to learning and teaching. Improved desks and seating will allow for increased student attendance. Teaching aids and books will result in improved learning and the toilet bock will lead to better hygiene and health. All of these improvements will create a school that students and teachers are proud of and the positive impact on attendance and learning will follow.
