Cairo & the Giza Plateau: Cairo sits beside the monumental pyramids of Giza where travellers explore one of the world’s most iconic archaeological landscapes.

Luxor & the Valley of the Kings: Luxor reveals the temples of Karnak and the royal tombs of the Valley of the Kings along the banks of the Nile.

Nile Valley: The Nile Valley’s fertile landscapes connect ancient temples and traditional villages along Egypt’s historic river corridor.

Sinai Peninsula: The rugged mountains of the Sinai Peninsula offer desert trekking including the climb to Mount Sinai, one of the region’s most sacred peaks.

Red Sea Coast: Egypt’s Red Sea coast reveals coral reefs and marine ecosystems along dramatic desert shores.

The best time to travel to Egypt for hiking, trekking and adventure touring is usually between October and April when temperatures are cooler and conditions are more comfortable for exploring desert landscapes.

Egypt has an arid desert climate with hot summers and mild winters. Temperatures generally range between 15°C and 40°C (59°F–104°F) depending on the season.

During the hotter months temperatures can rise significantly, though early morning or evening exploration can still be rewarding. Travelling during quieter periods can reveal peaceful desert scenery and dramatic landscapes.
