Project Summary: Peru Tastayoq Village Bridge & School Kitchen

Year: 2009

Achievements: Built a bridge capable of withstanding floods in the wet season and school and community kitchen.

Impact: The bridge will facilitate ease of movement in the village and allow the school students safe passage to and from school. Before the school/community school kitchen was built by our group of Community Project Travellers, the community had been cooking in difficult and uncomfortable conditions in order to provide the students with a cooked lunch. 

The kitchen will also now act as a social focal point for the village and will be used for many other village activities.
