The Jahan

All twelve Superior Staterooms (four twins, eight doubles) feature light red tones and a fine selection of artwork mounted on walls and ceilings to a crème-white backdrop. The Superior Staterooms are situated on the main deck. All are fitted with white wood furnishings, hand-painted wall-to-ceiling décor, and a queen-size bed. The 30 sqm (322 sqft) room includes a spacious 4 sqm (43 sqft) private balcony. A cozy lounge corner invites guests to observe life on the river banks through floor-to-ceiling windows. Created with the same layout as the Superiors, the Deluxe Staterooms (two twins, six doubles) are located on the upper deck. With a total floor space of 30 sqm (322 sqft), the Deluxe Staterooms are designed in warm orange hues and fitted with dark colonial furniture. Hand-painted ornaments underline the oriental leitmotif. The Jahan hosts eight Deluxe Staterooms, each with a queen-size bed and its own balcony (4 sqm/43 sqft) which offers scenic views of beautiful landscapes, and remote villages.

Two Signature Suites, named Darjeeling and Ceylon,are located at the very front of the main deck (36 sqm/388 sqft in total, 5 sqm/54 sqft balcony) and two more – Assam and Nilgiri – sit in the front area of the upper deck (32 sqm/344 sqft in total, 4 sqm/43 sqft balcony). All four have a crème-white facade decorated with marvelous hand-made indigo-blue Indian patterns, borders and ornaments which create a dignified atmosphere in the room. The large wooden four-poster king bed (double) is accompanied by a solid treasure chest at the foot end to store your belongings, just like travellers in the time of British India. The two Noble Suites (two doubles) are synonymous with space, beauty, and pure extravagance. Both are individually designed and located at the very front of the upper deck. At 51 sqm (548 sqft), these suites are more spacious than most of their counterparts on the Mekong River and offer guests an unparalleled cruising experience. The Taj is our Indian-themed suite and is peppered with styles and furniture from India, making it a feast for the eyes. Dark wood chairs and tables inlaid with camel bone in the living area are the perfect settings for intimate private dining. The lavish bed with direct views of the river completes the real “Shah” feeling. This suite also offers two large private balconies (11 sqm/118 sqft in total) – of which one has an outdoor Jacuzzi accessible via the grand bathroom.

Lord Byron – as the name suggests – is our British-themed suite. This room is decorated in gentle hues of light mint green and its walls display British-Colonial paintings. The expertly finished hazelnut furniture in the salon invites you to lean back and relax as verdant landscapes and fishing boats pass by the floor-to-ceiling windows. This suite’s extra-large bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower. Lord Byron’s single balcony (11 sqm/118 sqft) comes with an outdoor Jacuzzi.
