Climbing: the word conjures up thoughts and images of confusing gear, dangerous activities and scary locations. It doesn’t need to be like that.

At World Expeditions, we take pride in simplifying the process of leaning mountaineering with world-class climbers and expedition leaders. To start, we teach you the basics of ropework, simple sets of knots (with just three knots you can climb any technical route on earth), and how to use minimal equipment to achieve your goals.

We also want you to succeed, so we start you out with courses and trips where you achieve modest goals, which in turn which boosts your confidence allowing you to move onto more challenging goals. As the porters on Kilimanjaro say, ‘pole pole’ (‘slowly, slowly’). Slowly is the way to learn the art of climbing.

Of course, safety is our number one goal, but we also want you to enjoy the process, and thirdly, we want you to learn something. So, we remove all the distractions. We take care of the climbing gear and the ropes, the group camping equipment, and the meals. We even bring along a portable altitude chamber for altitude-related emergencies.

This is so you can focus on what you’re being shown and enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded adventurers who want to attain modest, or bigger, goals.

Our experts collectively have several centuries worth of experience. They’ll show you the ropes but at your pace, not theirs.
