At 07:00am after your breakfast, escape the hustle and bustle of Panama City as you visit the Metropolitan Park with a private naturalist guide. Located a mere 15 minutes away from the city’s downtown area, the park is considered to be the most accessible rainforest in the region. Together with several other protected areas, the park forms the “Interoceanic Biological Corridor”. Explore this lush corner of Panama City with your guide and learn about Central American flora and fauna. The walking trails of the Metropolitan Park allow you to get closer to countless bird species and numerous mammals inhabiting the jungle canopy. With a little bit of luck, you may even be able to spot the elusive sloth. Following your exploration of this natural reserve you will continue to Panama City’s Biodiversity Museum. Uniquely set on the Amador Causeway, the Biodiversity Museum is one of the latest works of the famous architect Frank Gehry. The design of this colorful building tells the story of how the Isthmus of Panama rose from the sea, uniting two continents, separating vast ocean, and changing the planet’s biodiversity forever. The museum’s impressive 43,055 sq. ft. contain eight permanent exhibits that highlight Panama’s spellbinding natural and ethnic heritage.
